Each year, the Passaic County Coaches Association honors one male and one female as the County Athlete of the Year. The 2009 - 2010 nominees are listed below.
CRITERIA FOR COUNTY ATHLETE OF THE YEAR
(Finalist Only)
1. The honor will be awarded to the young man and woman who, through his or her career, has manifested the highest degree of athletic prowess, academic achievement and sportsmanship.
2. The nominee must have participated in two (2) varsity sports in his or her senior year and received two (2) first team all-county awards during his or her career, one (1) during the senior year and also an all-league award in the second sport during that senior year.
3. A committee of distinguished men and women not associated with Passaic County coaches has been formed to review the candidates and select the finalists and winner of each award.
